This Sunday, Fitdog will host the Venice Art Walk ‘Barking Lot’ at Google in Venice, California. Celebrating its 40th year, the Venice Family Clinic presents its annual Art Walk to raise money for people in need of healthcare. Silent auctions, studio tours, workshops, and food vendors provide family fun and fare for patrons of the arts.
While the Santa Monica/Venice area is known for its dog-friendliness, not all of the art spaces are suited for pets. That’s where we come in. For four years now, Fitdog has been the official host of the Venice Art Walk ‘Barking Lot’, where people can leave their dog with our friendly staff members while they go explore the event and silent auction.
About the Venice Art Walk
The Art Walk itself is filled with creative workshops, delicious street food, and activities in the Family Fun Zone. Attendees can also enjoy the beer and wine garden, music, and silent auction. This year, participants can enter a raffle to win a shopping spree at several West LA locations.
The Barking Lot
In our eyes, getting to interact with the community while supporting a good cause is a win-win. By hosting the Barking Lot, we help the event raise money by catering to people with dogs who would otherwise be turned away.
The Barking Lot is an enclosed dog-friendly space at the Venice Art Walk. It allows dog parents to go check out the event, buy some art, or have a drink while their dog is safely cared for. We provide water, shade, supervision, and of course, love. Our staff is full of animal lovers who are excited to spend the day with dogs.
The Art Walk is special to us because of its charitable goal and vision, and for the community it fosters. We hope that by providing a space for pets to hang out, we can contribute to the success of the event and ultimately the accessibility of healthcare to individuals in need. We also hope to make lots of new furry friends, but that’s usually a given!
If you come to the Venice Art Walk, make sure you stop by the Barking Lot to say hello!
