Is your pup jumping on people? Experiencing separation anxiety? Or pulling on the leash? Our dog training programs produce incredible results for dogs. Additionally, we give you the tools necessary to reinforce your dog’s training for the rest of their lives. Whether you’re looking to unwind behavioral traits, establish boundaries, or take your dog’s recall to the next level, we have something for you!

Our Training Programs

Reliable Recall

Reliable Recall is a drop-in class that trains your dog for off-leash activities, like Adventure Hikes and Beach Excursions. It is perfect for puppies or for dogs that may need a refresher before their next activity. However, for first-time learners, we do recommend at least four sessions for optimal results. In fact, the more classes a dog participates in, the better their recall skills are!

Loose Leash Walking

The Loose Leash Walking workshop zeros in on walking issues so you can walk your dog safely and without stress. This program includes four private one-on-one sessions. Dogs receive training around the city to help them practice what they’ve learned in stimulating environments.  In the end, you will be able to walk your dog with confidence.

Canine Good Citizen

The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) training program sets a solid foundation for any dog. This program includes four one-on-one sessions. The program will teach your dog the 10 skills required to pass the American Kennel Club’s CGC Test. After the program, you can schedule a CGC Test, and upon passing, will receive a CGC certification. The CGC certification is increasingly required by insurance companies and apartment complexes and is often the first step to becoming a certified therapy dog.

Behavioral Modification

For addressing difficult behavioral issues, Fitdog offers a Behavioral Immersion board-and-train program. Dogs spend two to four weeks with our Trainer Jeff where he will focus on specific behavioral and obedience concerns. The program length varies based on your dog’s needs. The trainer is able to achieve more effective and long-term results because they’re consistently working with your dog.

We make it easy for owners

All of our dog training programs are designed for working doggy parents, so owners do not attend. This way, you can be the best doggy parent you can be even if you’re busy. If you’re interested in learning more about training or setting up a consultation, please email sportsadmin@fitdog.com!
