Our goal is to continue to provide much needed enrichment and exercise for your dog while maintaining a safe environment for our employees and you.
Fitdog COVID19 safety rules and procedures limit interactions between employees and customers to reduce the transmission of COVID19. We are following California guidelines for safety guidelines for retail.
Contactless pick-up / drop-offs
Fitdog uses our own leashes and gear when picking up dogs from your home and at the facility. This prevents us from touching your leash and vice versa. Curbside drop off & pick up is available. Just call us when you are outside.
Lobby Rules
Customers are required to wear masks in the lobby. Please stand behind the line (which is 6 feet from the front reception desk). If you buy retail goods, we can manually enter them. Avoid approaching the desk. You also have the option of self scanning. Belongings are disinfected and placed in a bin on the counter. Sanitizer is available for customers at the entrance.
Dog & Customer Sick Policy
If you or your dog is sick, please do not book our services and stay home.
Hand Washing & Sanitizer Stations
Trainers and leaders must carry hand sanitizer on their person at all times. All employees wash their hands every 30 minutes or between interactions. We have hand sanitizer and hand washing stations throughout the facility.
Cleaning & Sanitization
As a dog care business, we already have stringent cleaning and sanitization guidelines in place, but we increased the sanitization of door knobs, handles, office equipment, breakroom, etc. To improve Fitdog COVID19 safety, we use UVC lights to sanitize office equipment and vans in between use.

High Frequency Ventilation
Fitdog has a high frequency ventilation system that replaces the air every 5 minutes. Veterinarian clinics use the same standard to reduce exposure to viruses and disease. In addition, a huge benefit of our ventilation system is that is brings in fresh, outside air, not recycled air. Fresh air further reduces the spread of disease.
Employee Policies
Employees must certified they are not sick, do not exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms, and have a normal temperature. Sick employees muat stay home and may not return without a clear test. Every employee has undergone training for COVID-19 safety protocols and best practices. We also have an outdoor meeting area and break room.
