Basic obedience and on-leash walking skills required
Boredom is the leading cause of behavioral issues. Break up your dog’s schedule and beat bordeom with dog hiking. Dog hiking offers small group socialization, exercise, and excitement.
Our group hikes are 4 to 6 miles long depending on the fitness level of the pack. Dogs are on or off leash depending on ability and trail guidelines.
Most Frequented Trails
Trails are chosen based on availability, weather, and proximity to pick-ups. Our preferred trail is Kenter Canyon because it has wide trail lanes and allows for off leash play 2 miles from the trailhead.
Upper & Lower Ridgeback
Due to the coronavirus crisis, we have had to cast a wider net to find suitable, open trails.
Contactless Pick ups
Dogs are picked up between 7:30am and 9am. The time of pick up largely depends on your proximity to the trail and the other pick up locations for that day. Our goal is to get to the trail no later than 9:30am in order to beat the heat.
Dogs benefit significantly from having a mix of enrichment and training classes in addition to their normal play schedule. With a holistic care approach, your dog will become more well-rounded, confident, and a better companion to you.
Canyon Hikes offer small group socialization and moderate to high intensity exercise. In addition to a ‘paw’some physical workout, dogs benefit from spending time in nature which is proven to reduce stress and anxiety.
