We love all of our dogs and their names here at Fitdog but today we want to highlight those that are named after foods! We have several cute pups here named after some pretty interesting foods! They include Chili, Hershey, Marmalade, Olive, Pepper, Ragu and Waffles. They sound delicious don’t they?! Keep reading to find out more about these cute pups and why their owner’s chose their names!
Chili: Vizsla – 4 years old
Chili has been running laps in the large dog yard at Fitdog since 2012. When he is not playing with his friends, Chili gets mellow with the staff and moves in for some body scratches. Chili is a hugger (meaning he tends to “lean” when we pet him for a while). As an experienced overnight guest, he makes the best of his vacation time.
Hershey: Terrier Mix – 5 years old
Hershey is a long time Fitdog member and is consequently very popular on the small dog yard. He is easily excitable and enjoys hanging with the staff (contingent upon belly rubs). Hershey has a lot of four-legged friends as well, but gets particularly peppy around his Yorkie pal, Penny. When Hershey is not out-and-about, he is sunbathing with his brother, Scruffy.
Marmalade: French Bulldog – 1-year-old
Marmalade is a super chill Frenchie who LOVES treats and kisses. His daycare visits to Fitdog entail a lot of sniffing, exploring, and playing king of the mountain. Marmalade is so friendly to all of our arriving daycare comers; he even acts as an ambassador sometimes for our new members, helping them get acquainted and welcoming them to the club.
Olive: Boston Terrier – 1-year-old
Olive may be small, but she brings a lot of personality to our pack! This little girl loves to play chase and wrestle, and will play with pretty much anyone on the small dog yard. After a long afternoon, Olive is usually cuddled up for a much needed mid-day nap. You can catch her on the webcam with her best friend, a Cavachon puppy named Steve.
Pepper: Lab. Mix – 2 years old
Pepper is an extremely lovable and very agile lab mix who loves to sprint and play. Pepper has been coming to Fitdog since she was a young pup and gets so excited when she is reunited with her gym buddies during her visits. Pepper is a pro at chase, and there are not a lot of dogs who can beat her at fetch! This pup is fast, but will also wind down when it’s time for some love-ups.
Ragu: Brussels Griffon/Schnauzer Mix – 8 years old
Ragu arrives at Fitdog in the morning full of energy, and ready to start her day. After a kiss goodbye to her mom, and a quick “hello” to the front desk staff, Ragu bolts to the gate, wiggling her butt awaiting entrance onto the play yard. Ragu prances around and greets all of her friends before moseying into her tunnel for some R&R. She peeks out from time to time to check in on things or to cop some hugs and kisses from the staff.
